This was an exercise to improve my geometry modulation and manipulation within the Dynamo workspace and its visual coding.
I made two variations, in the top image you can see the cross-tension wires are zigzagging between each other. In another render below if you look carefully you can see straight cord members from end to end following the contour of the arches. The development of the code and subsequent design came because I have always been fascinated by my mechanically dynamic mechanical properties and thus this was a great example to practice with and understand the design decisions and why they developed in the manner in which they did.
Here is the other design alternative along with another angle on the initial design option. If you look closely at either of the columns ends they begin as triangles and mutate into a perfect rectangle/diamond-shaped at the top of the supporting tension arch. Below you can see the code that was required in order to generate the structure in this design.
